About Me
Who I am
My name is Melissa McDermott. I am a graphic designer, web designer and entrepreneur from Southern New Jersey. I do a little bit of photography and love anything that’s related to small businesses or creativity. I love anything related to art, hip-hop or nature. I have over 10 years of experience in graphic & web design, a degree in Web Design from the University of Central Florida, and a strong passion for business and marketing.
Wild Lotus Media was started in January of 2012, as a way to build my design portfolio. I started making free Facebook timeline covers and sharing them on the platform, when timeline was introduced. That grew into designing custom social media graphics, logos, business cards and more. Eventually, I started making full websites and have worked with many clients, both locally and across the country.

About My Process
Occasionally, some people have questions about how my design process works. Sometimes they are unsure if they will like the final design that I will give them. I guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied with the design that you get. I only do design work (not including websites) after full payment is received. I offer unlimited revisions on most services to ensure the most perfect result possible. If you are unhappy with my work for any reason, I will gladly issue you a refund.
All graphic design orders come with:
- At least 2 initial sketches of your proposed design
- Unlimited revisions of your design until it is finalized
- Different file types and sizes of your final design
- High-quality files e-mailed directly to you
All website services will get a design contract that I will follow after I understand your specific needs. It will outline what is included in the website (number of pages, content, functionality, appearance, etc), how long everything will take, and payment information. Usually for website payments, I require about half up front and the other half before we launch the website.
